I'm gonna let it sting

Will Henry: I didn't mean to hurt you.

Diane: No, I know. You're a good guy.

Will Henry: Don't say that.

Diane: What do you want me to say?

Will Henry: I don't know. Shouldn't you get mad, slap me or something.

[Diane slaps Will in the face]

Will Henry: Ow... Ow...

Diane: You told me to do it.

Will Henry: But I said, "or something"

Diane: I didn't hear that part. You want some ice.

Will Henry: No. I'm gonna let it sting.

Singularity

No moment was deeper than when you were so joyful that you let go all fears, all control, and put your fate in my hands.

To this day, I do not know why myself, sharing completely in your joy, in your happiness, feeling whole, did not put all our fate in God.

I remember you smiling from above. Feeling pleasure, trusting me, unable to stop. I wonder what you were thinking when looking at me below, feeling pleasure, trusting you, unable to stop.

What if I had not stop? I misinterpreted your trust. You wanted to trust I would care. I thought you wanted to trust I would stop.

I did not want to stop. Rather, I wanted to let go of any control or thought. I wanted to sit, embrace you, kiss you deeply, look you avidly in the eyes, hear your breathing, match your heartbeat and only then, stop. And in that careless moment, start. Start truly caring about you.

Instead, I stopped.

I wish I was a poet. I wish I was yours.

I almost went to bed

without remembering

the four white violets

I put in the button-hole

of your green sweater

and how I kissed you then

and you kissed me

shy as though I’d

never been your lover

Take a walk outside

I don't know how else to say it

I long to see you in the morning light

I long to reach for you in the night

The only thing left

 Is our data

you come to me

 in dreams

and I'm in awe.

always remember you whispering

"this is not a dream"

and realize

it was not, but I threw it all away

and cannot be in awe anymore.

Linger on

Thought of you as my mountain top

Thought of you as my peak

Thought of you as everything

I've had but couldn't keep

Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Op. 43

Between us only a shell of metal, clouds, air and distance. And God does not turn this plane around, to the happy path that every time would lead me to your arms.

It could be another plane. It could be another life. But today, rather than just sorrow, I imagine that for a fleeting moment we stared at the same glow in the Mountains, and there's peace in my heart.

(And yet, no comfort, no warmth, no laughter, no knowing we would soon embrace.)

Dinner time

No longer summer time, no longer autumn, no song to tell, no story you and I.

No longer sudden kisses.

But longing.

there are unsound dreams

that are so vivid, one cannot but wonder if they were actually real.

(in fact, wish, beg, pray they were real)

Contemplating

A silent void. Waiting for a sign of existence.

To what purpose? I don't know. And I should, but never found out.

"... it's too late to say you're sorry

How would I know? Why should I care?

Please don't bother trying to find her

She's not there."

Do you miss me? Yes, every single day, in every single dream awake.

At first, just the thrill of being close,

Then, the tenderness of a touch,

Later the diziness of feeling  your perfume,

Followed by the surrender of a kiss.

Right after the warmth of your skin,

Not long before the naked wholiness of an embrace,

And in those moments of absolute truth,

Came the urge to implode onto one another

And we became indistinguishable
