Memories strike

A swirl of emotions akin to the anticipation with which I lived the day.

Not knowing how deep we'd go. Not knowing how profound the connection. Unsure of the how, what, when.

I tried to stick to what was in my control. Flight times. Routes. Possibly, some work.

I was hopeful, but anxious. I remember I shook often.

Your smile, as you entered the car wiped it all.

But I am sure you know. I told you before. What I haven't said is that I miss you. That I would love to be celebrating.

And loving you. Just as deeply and profoundly as that first time.

La solitudine fra noi

Questo silenzio dentro me

E l'inquietudine di vivere la vita senza te

No song unsung, no wine untasted

It was later

She said, 'I'm home on shore leave,'

though in truth we were at sea

so I took her by the looking glass

and forced her to agree

saying, 'You must be the mermaid

who took Neptune for a ride.'

But she smiled at me so sadly

that my anger straightway died

If music be the food of love

then laughter is its queen

and likewise if behind is in front

then dirt in truth is clean

My mouth by then like cardboard

seemed to slip straight through my head

So we crash-dived straightway quickly

and attacked the ocean bed

The minute I heard my first love story,

I started looking for you,

not know how blind that was.

Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere.

They’re in each other all along.

I wish

Ignorance was bliss.

I look at the board

And every time i see Geneva or Firenze, my soul is soothing.

I know it is meaningless in this chapter of silence, that is likely to become the only one left on the book. But it somehow connects me to a reality that once was, and that there is a link, a path, a route, a network that could lead me back to you.

And I know back to you means back to closed arms. To a turned back. But yet, I would see your silhouette. And perhaps, just perhaps, you would look at me for a second, crave a memory, and maybe whisper a few words that I could fill my treasure chest with.

It was sweet.

We're running out of alibis
On the second of May

It is now bitter. And not a symphony.

time that has taken my tomorrows and turned them into yesterdays

And once again that rising sun is droppin on down

And once again you, my friend, are nowhere to be found

I don't belong here

What the hell am I doin' here?

Why not?

Life is short. Life is dull. Life is full of pain. And this is a chance for something special
